Terms of Use

By opening a Wuli account, you accept the following. It is short, and written to be read.

Last updated: September 11, 2026

What Wuli is

Wuli is a to-do list in which every commitment is made in front of someone. You write down a task, set a deadline, choose who holds you to it — a witness or a quiz-duel opponent — then you seal it. At the set time, the person concerned knows whether you did it.

Wuli organises no stake, no bet and no penalty: a task not kept leads to nothing other than the person concerned knowing it.

Your account

Opening an account requires a valid email address, or an Apple or Google account, and requires you to be at least fifteen years old. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential. An account is personal: it may not be lent or shared.

If you sign in with Apple or Google, those services' terms also apply to that sign-in. What Wuli receives from them is described in the privacy policy.

You can delete your account at any time from the app. Deletion erases your profile, your tasks, your witness contact book and the duels attached to them.

When you name a witness

This is the most important point of these terms. By entering someone's phone number, you declare:

  • that you know this person personally and that they would reasonably accept receiving a message from you;
  • that you have informed them, or will inform them, that you are naming them as a witness;
  • that you will not use this mechanism to bother, harass or reach someone who does not wish to be contacted.

Wuli never texts your witness: you are the one who sends them the commitment's link, from your phone. Wuli writes them only one email, and only if they left their address themselves to be notified at the deadline. They can ask at any time for their number to be erased, including without telling you, and without having to create an account — see the privacy policy.

Misuse of the witness mechanism leads to the account being closed, without notice.

What you write

You remain the owner of the content of your tasks, your duel topics and the revision texts you provide. Wuli makes only one use of them: providing the service. A text or document entrusted to generate a quiz is used once, for the generation, then erased; it is never passed on to your opponent.

You agree not to enter unlawful content, nor data about third parties that you would not have the right to process.

Premium

Wuli can be used for free, duels included. One feature requires a subscription: generating a quiz from a text or document.

Subscriptions are taken out, billed and cancelled through Apple's App Store or Google's Play Store, depending on the platform, and follow their terms — including for refunds, over which Wuli has no control. Renewal is automatic unless it is stopped from the platform's settings.

Access to premium features is checked on the server side. Any change to what the free plan includes is announced in the app before it takes effect.

Availability and limits

Wuli strives to provide a continuous service, without guaranteeing it: a hosting outage, an email delivery failure or a network unavailability may prevent a message from going out at the scheduled time.

Wuli is a personal discipline tool. It does not replace medical support, psychological follow-up or an alert system. No commitment recorded in Wuli has contractual value between you and your witness.

Suspension

An account may be suspended or closed for breach of these terms, in particular for misuse of the witness mechanism or attempts to circumvent the subscription. You are informed by email, and you can ask for the decision to be reviewed at the address below.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution is sought before any action: write to contact@orizon42.com. Failing agreement, the French courts have jurisdiction.
